Speaking to Vicki Young on Politics Live, Burley said she is qualifying for her state pension next year and "there are lots of people like her who don't need it."
She suggested the state pension should be means tested given the state of the country's finances.
"I deserve my pension...but I don't need the pension and I have to take it," she said.
