This documentary is focusing on the dramatic arrest of Hermann Goering by Commander and SS Obersturmbannführer Dr. Bernhard Frank. Dr. Frank's compelling commentary explores the intense power struggles among Nazi leaders in the key government centers of Berlin and Obersalzberg during the waning days of World War II, and sheds light on Göring's subsequent arrest.

Bernhard Frank (July 15, 1913 - 2011), scion of a prominent Frankfurt merchant family, emerges as a central figure. His journey from the classrooms of the Helmholtz-Oberrealschule to the corridors of power in the SS is a remarkable story. Joining the SS student unit in 1933 amid the rise of Nazism, Frank quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the last commander of Adolf Hitler's mountain retreat, Obersalzberg.

Amidst the chaos of war, Frank's role takes center stage. From leading SS units in East Prussia to his pivotal command at Obersalzberg, his actions reverberate throughout history. Most notably, on Hitler's orders, Frank arrested Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring for treason, marking a pivotal moment in the downfall of the Third Reich.

However, fate took a turn as the war drew to a close. In the aftermath of Germany's defeat, Frank was captured by American forces near Lake Chiemsee, and his story embodies the tumultuous end of an era.

Join us as we unravel the enigmatic story of Dr. Bernhard Frank, SS Obersturmbannführer, in this gripping documentary that offers new insights into a pivotal chapter of World War II history.
