as posted by the channelThe DOJ just made a filing with Judge Aileen Cannon replying to the joint submission made on Friday where they and Trump set forth recommendations for who could be the special master in the case. Notably, the DOJ responded that in addition to the retired judges it selected, it would be ok if one of the judges recommended by Trump, the Honorable Raymond J. Dearie, was selected. The DOJ noted however that Judge Dearie was not retired so he may not even be allowed to accept private employment. The DOJ is confident that if Judge Dearie is permitted to serve as special master, he would see through Trump’s dangerous and bogus claims.
