• Event held at the Traffic Head Quarters/ Traffic Management centre, Bengaluru in the presence of the Honourable Mr. M.N. Reddi, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru and Mr. B. Dayananda – IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Bengaluru.
• World Billiards and Snooker Champion, Pankaj Advani makes a special appearance.
• 50 children from various schools across Bangalore attend the event and felicitate the Traffic Police.
History and Necessity of Traffic Police Day Celebration:
Bangalore is a fast growing city in terms of traffic. With more than 49,20,035 (as on 2014) vehicles plying on the roads and thousands of new registrations every day, managing traffic has become a challenge for the 3000 traffic constables and officers. These traffic police despite all constraints manage traffic to the best of their ability yet remain unsung heroes.
