1:25:45Now PlayingTONIGHT OCTOBER 13TH: Sen. Bernie Sanders will host a virtual town hall Tuesday on the importance of turning out Muslim voters to defeat Trump in November, elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and support progressive candidates running for office nationwide.
Sanders will be joined by Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, the first Muslim women ever elected to Congress, as well as Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, and other panelists.
Sanders has hosted more than a dozen virtual town halls in recent weeks focused on battleground states and target demographics to engage his supporters to turn out to vote, garnering more than 8 million views.
Muslim voters can be instrumental in bridging the gap to defeat Trump in key swing states like Michigan, Minnesota, Virginia, and Texas. Muslim voters came out in record-setting numbers in 2018, helping Democrats to gain control of the U.S. House and gain ground in state legislatures across the country.
