Before stepping into an interview room, I would often say a prayer and ask God to be with me. Because sometimes the person sitting across from you has committed something truly evil — and you still have to remain calm, focused, and professional.
Interrogations aren’t about screaming or degrading someone.
They’re about patience, psychology, and letting the truth come out piece by piece.
In this video, I talk about the mindset I carried into those rooms and why staying calm can be the most powerful tool a detective has.
