From my experience in homicide, some of the most dangerous situations don’t come from strangers—they come from people you trust.

I’ve worked cases where a victim willingly walked into a situation with someone they knew… someone they thought was a friend. What started as a normal meet-up turned into a robbery, a brutal beating, and ultimately a murder.

These cases hit different. There’s no forced entry, no obvious warning signs—just betrayal.

Pay attention to who you surround yourself with. Not everyone who smiles at you is your friend.
