I’m with @TommyRobinsonOnline and @OzraeliAvi in the City of David, the historical core of ancient Jerusalem, located just south of the Temple Mount.

It was here that King David established his capital after capturing the city from the Jebusites around 1000 BC, making it the political and spiritual center of the Israelite kingdom.

The road we’re on is a current archaeological site underneath existing homes, and wasn’t even discovered until 2004.

It was a vital route for Jewish pilgrims during the Second Temple period (circa 1st century BC—1st century AD), particularly for those participating in festivals like Passover, Shavuot, and Sukkot, when they would ritually purify themselves at the Pool of Siloam before ascending to the Temple.

We’re walking the same stone steps that Jesus would have walked 2000 years ago.
