The cyclorama, created by artist Phillip Buehler, invited visitors to temporarily escape the chaos of Times Square and visit the now quiet street where Michael Brown was killed during an altercation with police in Ferguson, Missouri last year.

Beuhler, who is a New York-based photographer, said he sees that street in Ferguson as iconic to the civil rights movement in America.

"You kind of step into the place, literally,” Buehler told The Revolution, a Communist online magazine. “You start to realize that it’s like going to the Selma bridge; it’s a landmark in race relations and civil rights in the United States.”
