1:40Now PlayingFriday's CPAC had some security issues...The Secret Service was trying make sure all of the VIPs (candidates, congressmen, senators and media celebrities) and thousands of conservatives in attendance were safe.
However, the crush of attendees overwhelmed the security set up before the early morning session had even started.
By mid-morning the line to get into the CPAC section of the massive conference center stretched over one hundred yards and it was taking longer than an hour to get through the checkpoint.
CPAC management stepped and worked with the Secret Service, eventually managing to shrink the lines considerably. Unfortunately, this was cleared up after a majority of the day's speakers had finished addressing those who managed to get inside.
