SYNOPSIS:
Rosemont Realty – founded by Hunter Biden and Devon Archer – was purchased by Gemini Investments in a $3 billion deal for 75% of the company. Gemini’s parent company, Sino-Ocean
Group, is run out of the headquarters of the China Overseas Shipping Company (COSCO), which is called the fifth arm of the Chinese Navy.
There were two big deals between the Biden family and the Chinese government or government-connected firms in the two years following Joe Biden’s announcement as the point person on U.S. policy toward China.
Hunter set up a new company, Burham Asset Management, that sought to do business with Chinese companies. One deal was with Kirin Global Enterprise Limited – an entity that invests heavily in mainland Chinese infrastructure.
Another business deal was with Harvest Global Investments, which is linked to the Chinese government.
The Biden family cultivated a host of relationships with Chinese elites. Some of those relationships would be difficult to defend.
