The violence was a part of the social media-driven event called “Teen Takeover." The media barely covered it. No one, including Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson, condemned the violence. Meanwhile, in Kansas City, an 84-year-old man shot a black teen who mistakenly went to the wrong address, and it's become the celebrity cause of the day. Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes called for “justice” in the shooting of Ralph Yarl. Here we are again, ignoring the epidemic of crime that doesn’t fit the proper racial makeup and stirring division everywhere it does. Black lives don’t matter, only black victims do.
