Part of our safety protocols includes minimizing your exposure to toxic substances, such as the mercury in your old silver fillings. In June 2016, the IAOMT (International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology), of which Dr. Kelly Blodgett is a member, launched its “SMART” program.
The aim of the SMART program (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) is to minimize exposure of patients and dental teams to the toxic mercury being taken out of teeth. Dr. Blodgett is Oregon’s first dentist to adopt the SMART protocol!

Dr. Blodgett's Philosophy
We believe in whole health optimization. Our team at Blodgett Dental Care understands that the mouth is an integral part of the body. Teeth originate from the same tissues which form your central nervous system. Treating the oral cavity as though it were separate from the rest of the body is inherently flawed and ultimately leads to compromised health. Our integrative biological approach to dental medicine considers the whole health of each patient.
