Trump honored the warriors Thursday at the White House, an annual celebration dating back to the Bush administration in 2008 and Trump's third such event since taking office. It was be Trump's first event of the day, overlapping with the release of a redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller's report. But for the 29 riders, who come from across the country and represent all branches of the U.S. military with a combined 73 deployments and 284 years of service, Thursday was a rare opportunity to be honored by the president for their service.
