0:43Now PlayingStudents booed an organizer at a vigil held on May 8 to honor victims of the deadly shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch in Colorado, after the woman claimed the media was responsible for students walking out of the ceremony, video shows.
Footage from the vigil captures one speaker saying the media “sent” the students outside, after a group abruptly walked out frustrated by politicians speaking at the event.
Reports said students at the vigil began to boo and jeer after several politicians addressed the crowd. They later took control of the event and several students spoke from the podium.
The vigil in the gym of the school was one of several held to honor victims of the shooting, including an 18-year-old student who was killed when two gunmen were reported to have opened fire at the school on May 7.
