Jul 11, 20191:00Now PlayingThe US Coast Guard Cutter Munro intercepted several suspected drug-smuggling vessels, including a semi-submersible vessel, also known as a narco-submarine, and two boats in the eastern Pacific Ocean over the course of June 2019, the coast guard said.
The coast guard said the interceptions were made in international waters.
A dramatic video from June 18 shows coast guard vessels closing in on a moving narco-submarine before crew members step onto its roof. They then bang on the hatch door and an unidentified occupant opens it.
