2:40Now PlayingFirefighters helped to rescue a worker who was left dangling from a platform as he was working at the Stantec Tower in Edmonton, Canada, on October 25.
In a video shared by Ben Freeland, firefighters can be seen helping the worker break free of his harness and separate from the platform he was attached to. A second worker can be observed still on the platform. A video of the incident showed the cleaning platform swinging in the wind and bashing against the glass of the Stantec Tower.
The Edmonton Journal reported that the incident was caused by high winds which swept through downtown Edmonton on October 25. “The area between Stantec and Edmonton tower is currently closed off. Fire said there’s no danger of the scaffolding falling but there is broken glass,” it added.
