1:11Now PlayingThe U.S. House passed legislation that would require the Trump administration to sanction Chinese government officials responsible for the repression of Turkic Muslims, predominantly Uighurs. The House passed its version of S. 178 on 406-1 vote. It differs from a Senate version that was passed by unanimous consent in September, so it needs to go back to that chamber for additional action before it can be sent to the president. The bill elicited threats of retaliation from China. #ChinaHumanRights #HumanRights #HongKongProtests
