2:27Now PlayingU.S. President Donald Trump says he has spoken to Saudi Arabia's King over the shooting at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola on Friday morning.
He told reporters that Saudi King Salman told him "the Saudi people are greatly angered by the barbaric actions of the shooter and that this person in no way shape or form represents the feelings of the Saudi people who love the American people."
An aviation student from Saudi Arabia opened fire in a classroom building, a U.S. official said, an attack that left three dead in addition to the assailant.
The student, who was fatally shot by a sheriff's deputy, was a second lieutenant in the Saudi Air Force, said two U.S. officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to disclose information that had not yet been made public.
The officials said authorities were investigating whether the attack was terrorism-related.
During a White House roundtable meeting on small businesses, the president answered one question about the shooting.
"That's all being studied now," Trump said.
The president ignored questions about his response to the House judiciary committee on the impeachment inquiry, as his legal team faces an afternoon deadline to let the panel know about participating in its Monday hearing.
