Adoption of the articles would make Trump only the third president in American history to be impeached. The House debate and votes can be watched live here.
The House passed a procedural measure that allows lawmakers to begin six hours of debate before their historic votes on the impeachment of Trump.
The 228-197 vote sets the rules for the debate. Republicans are expected to take a number of actions throughout the day intended to delay or protest the impeachment proceedings.
