"We are going to win. We are going to defeat Trump because we are putting together an unprecedented grassroots multigenerational multi-racial movement. It is a movement which speaks to the working families of this country," Sanders told a rally in Burlington.
While Sanders lost to Biden in states from Virginia to North Carolina to Tennessee, Sanders said he is "cautiously optimistic" he will win Super Tuesday's biggest prize of California.
"I don't know what's going to happen later tonight. We're doing well in Texas right now. We won Colorado. And I'm cautiously optimistic we can win the largest state in the country -- California," he said.
