YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe UK government on Tuesday unveiled new safety guidelines for people who can't work from home, ahead of the expected reopening of many workplaces on Wednesday.
Business secretary Alok Sharma said during the daily news briefing that employers must carry out a COVID-19 risk assessment in consultation with employees and trade unions.
He said employers would be urged to implement workplace safety measures such as barriers and screens to assist with social distancing.
Sharma also announced 627 new coronavirus deaths, taking the death toll to 32,692.
For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.
For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia and could lead to death.
