Ford Motor Co. is backpedaling from a policy that every visitor to its factories wear masks ahead of President Donald Trump’s tour on Wednesday of a components plant that it’s converted to a ventilator-making facility. PPE use is among the health requirements Ford has put in place at U.S. factories that restarted vehicle production this week, bu the company says it will defer to White House guidance.
Despite criticism from medical experts, Trump defended his regular use of hydroxychloroquine on Tuesday, saying he believes the antimalarial drug offers an "additional level of safety," and it's "had a great reputation." He called taking the drug to treat Covid-19 "an individual decision to make."
