0:53Now PlayingSao Paulo’s Governor announced that Brazil’s Instituto Butantan and China’s Sinovac Biotech have signed an agreement to produce a coronavirus vaccine that will be available in the first half of 2021.
Some 9,000 Brazilians will take part in the testing that's planned to start at the beginning of July, representing the 3rd and last stage before it is prepared for distribution. The vaccine has already passed two stages of testing in China.
Brazil's Governor Joao Doria said the vaccine is in the group of the 10 most advanced among the 100 currently being developed worldwide.
