Polling stations opened across this vast country last Thursday, with officials going to great lengths to lure voters to cast their ballots in some of the more remote areas, amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Officials used a boat to bring ballot papers to voters in the Talab Archipelago.
A helicopter was deployed to enable people to vote in the Kuril Islands.
And in one part of the Far Eastern city of Vladivostok, officials set up a polling station in the boot of a car.
One newly-married woman in Ingushetia couldn't wait to cast her vote - she turned up at the polling station still in her wedding dress.
