0:55Now PlayingThe deadly Zogg Fire burning in Shasta County, California, grew to more than 40,300 acres – about 63 square miles – on Tuesday, September 29, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) said.
Three people were reported to have died and a number of evacuations were ordered as a result of the “fast-moving” Zogg Fire. Cal Fire said the blaze had burned 40,317 acres and was zero percent contained by Tuesday.
This footage, provided by ALERTWildfire, shows the Zogg Fire burning near Rainbow Lake in Shasta County on Monday night. ALERTWildfire said the fire was close enough for the camera to show embers glowing.
