1:28Now PlayingAdditional evacuation warnings were issued for residents in Napa County, California, as the Glass Fire scorched more than 48,000 acres on Wednesday, September 30, fire officials said.
The evacuation warning urges residents who need extra time to leave, or those with animals, to evacuate immediately. Local media said the fire, which sparked on Sunday, has prompted at least 68,000 people across Napa and Sonoma counties to evacuate.
The Glass Fire had burned 48,440 acres and was two percent contained as of Wednesday, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire).
Cal Fire said this aerial footage shows the Glass Fire burning in Napa County near Robert Louis Stevenson State Park on Wednesday afternoon.
