1:19Now PlayingCalifornia Governor Gavin Newsom visited the Golden State Warriors' Oakland facility on Election Day and praised the team for converting their stadium into a polling center.
He thanked the team for "being one of the early NBA teams to push this concept and encourage others throughout not only the state, but now we've seen similar efforts all across the country."
Newsom, who already voted early at the Kings' Golden 1 Center blocks from California's Capitol, was touring the Oakland arena-turned polling center.
"We're going to break records here in this state," Newsom said, referring to the huge number of votes already cast in California.
