1:01Now PlayingWith only 87% of the vote counted in the state of Pennsylvania, senior members of President Donald Trump's campaign used inflammatory language to claim the process in the state was unfair.
Rudy Giuliani joined Eric and Lara Trump for a news conference in Philadelphia to protest the process. "The Democrats do think you're stupid and they do think you're fools," Giuliani told supporters.
At the time of this story being published, the AP has not called the state as not enough votes have been counted, and the result in Pennsylvania is too early to call. State officials are wading through mail-in ballots which, under state law, can still be counted if they are received by Friday with proof they were mailed in on time.
The Trump campaign remarks followed an appearance by Democratic candidate Joe Biden, who said at a Delaware news conference he expected to win the presidency.
AP's election results show that Biden is just six electoral college votes short of being declared the winner.
Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien said the president would formally request a Wisconsin recount, citing "irregularities" in several counties. And the campaign said it was filing suit in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia to halt ballot counting on grounds that it wasn't given proper access to observe.
At the same time, hundreds of thousands of votes were still to be counted in Pennsylvania, and Trump's campaign said it was moving to intervene in the existing Supreme Court litigation over counting mail-in ballots there.
