The pandemic shows no signs of slowing, with worldwide infections surpassing 50 million. Cases in the U.S. topped 100,000 for a fourth day, bringing the nation’s total close to the 10 million mark.
U.S. President-elect Joe Biden announced a new 13-member coronavirus task force composed largely of doctors and public health experts who will help map out the public health and economic policies needed to curtail the virus. The task force will brief Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on Monday.
