Prosecutors at Trump's impeachment trial on Wednesday said Trump fired up his supporters with lies about a stolen election and followed up with an invitation to a Jan. 6 rally.
House Impeachment Manager Rep. Madeleine Dean recounted the baseless claims Trump repeatedly made about election fraud. She argued using audio and video of him that Trump was pressuring elected officials to overturn the election results.
"We must not become numb to this," she said. "Public officials like you and me received death threats and calls threatening criminal penalties all because Trump wanted to remain in power."
