0:56Now PlayingNew York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said he is concerned about the coronavirus numbers in the city and that he might consider pausing some aspects of reopening.
"It's time to reassess," he said at his daily briefing Monday. "Indoor dinning as an example of something that, let's stay at the level we're at now and not have any further expansion."
Restaurants are currently allowed 50% indoor dining capacity.
De Blasio has also been critical of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's decision to allow indoor exercise classes to resume in the city as of today.
The democratic mayor has repeatedly asked for more local control from the state, citing several instances where he believes local officials are best fit at making decisions affecting their own communities.
