as posted by the channelTokyo 2020 CEO Toshiro Muto said on Wednesday that athletes coming from foreign countries will also be asked to turn on GPS tracking systems on their smartphones to be able to verify their whereabouts during their stay in Japan.
Speaking to the media after the IOC Executive Board Meeting, Muto added that while coordination of athletes will be monitored and limited, whether they will be allowed to drink in the Olympic Village is still to be determined.
Muto said they are also looking to get domestic media vaccinated in time for the Olympics, which are set to open on July 23.
