1:05Now PlayingScores of more Afghan nationals arrived in Pakistan on Friday through a land crossing in Chaman amid uncertain situation in Afghanistan, Pakistani officials and witnesses said.
No large scale migration has been witnessed so far, however, since last Sunday when the Taliban took over the capital, Kabul.
Afghan families coming from various parts of Afghanistan say they decided to leave the country because of uncertain security situation, and they might go back if normalcy returns to their country.
Pakistan opened the two border crossings in Chaman, in the southwest and Torkham in the northwest, earlier this week to evacuate people stranded in Afghanistan.
On Friday, an Afghan national said he travelled all the way from Zabul province to Chaman in Pakistan as he needed a medical treatment.
"In my country, Afghanistan, due to the chaotic situation, no doctors are available in my area. All the institutions and hospital are not working," he said.
The Taliban swept into Afghanistan's capital Sunday after the government collapsed and the embattled president joined an exodus of his fellow citizens and foreigners, signaling the end of a costly two-decade U.S. campaign to remake the country.
