0:59Now PlayingHundreds marched towards New Zealand's Parliament in Wellington on November 9th to protest against Covid-19 vaccine mandates and lockdowns, holding the United Tribes and “Trump 2020” flags.
The large crowd were led by protesters riding motorcycles as they marched through the city's streets, shouting "freedom" and carrying banners reading "no more control."
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the protesters weren't representative of New Zealanders, most of whom have already gotten vaccinated.
Ardern said Monday that the lockdown of the country's largest city of Auckland is likely to end later this month, with some coronavirus restrictions eased from Tuesday.
Auckland has been in lockdown for almost three months after an outbreak of the delta variant.
The outbreak has grown to more than 4,500 cases with about 150 new infections reported each day over the past week.
On November 8th, Ardern said the city's improving vaccination rate among people age 12 and older meant it could continue cutting back on restrictions.
