Speaking to the press after a meeting of EU tourism ministers, Hubert Gambs, the deputy director general of the bloc's for internal market, industry and entrepreneurship, said members needed to "do everything possible to relaunch European tourism".
Gambs said talks had focused on a pathway for a "twin transition" of the industry to become "greener and more digital".
