1:08Now PlayingHuludao, a coastal city in northeastern China's Liaoning province, conducted mass coronavirus testing on Sunday and imposed traffic restrictions following an outbreak of Covid-19.
Huludao, 430 kilometers (267 miles) away from Beijing where the Winter Olympics is underway, has found 43 locally transferred Covid-19 cases among its 2.75 million residents in the past week.
People are not allowed to leave the city without a negative Covid-19 test result within 24 hours, according to official media.
China is applying a "zero-tolerance" approach to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The policy requires that strict measures be applied even when only a small number of cases have been found.
The Chinese mainland reported 67 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, comprising 28 locally transmitted cases and 39 imported ones, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.
