as posted by the channel

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy spooked markets with what his office later said was meant to be a sarcastic comment about the rest of the world predicting a date for an attack by Russia. Zelenskiy said it should be a day of unity instead.

Vladimir Putin’s top diplomat, meanwhile, urged the Russian president to continue talks with the West, with negotiation options “far from exhausted.” German Chancellor Olaf Scholz held talks with Zelenskiy in Kyiv as diplomatic efforts continue to try and deescalate tensions over Russia’s military buildup near the border with its neighbor, and flies to Moscow on Tuesday to meet Putin.

Washington and its allies have threatened sweeping sanctions if Putin takes action against Ukraine -- the U.S. has said its intelligence indicates Russia may attack imminently. Officials in Moscow have repeatedly denied an invasion is planned.
