1:38Now PlayingMore than 1,600 Ukrainian refugees arrived on Monday in the French port city of Marseille, where they are now being housed on a ferry boat.
French ferry company Corsica Linea agreed to let them stay on board the Méditerranée, a passenger ship.
The state-backed operation will offer help for refugees, including access to translators to fill in papers and to find a place to live.
Big and small local companies also helped fund the project.
