2:12Now PlayingUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday urged reforms of the United Nations Security Council, accusing it of failing to take any action to end Russia's aggression and restore peace in his country.
The Ukrainian leader made his plea via video as grisly evidence continued to emerge of civilian massacres carried out by Russian forces on the outskirts of Kyiv before they pulled back from the capital.
Zelenskyy called on the Security Council to "remove Russia as an aggressor and a source of war so it cannot block decisions about its own aggression, its own war, and then do everything that we can do to establish peace".
Russia possesses a veto in the Security Council but the Ukrainian leader said that a state cannot be allowed to turn "the right of veto in the UN Security Council into a right of death".
