James, 62, is charged with committing a terrorist act on a mass transit system. If convicted, he could face as long as life in prison, according to Breon Peace, the U.S. attorney for New York’s Eastern District. James was arrested in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan after a 30-hour manhunt.
