He quoted a specific line which he said referenced Depp: "Imagine a powerful man as a ship like the Titanic. That ship is a huge enterprise. When it strikes an iceberg, there are a lot of people on board desperate to patch up holes -- not because they believe in, or even care about the ship, but because their own fates depend upon the enterprise."
"Everyone in Hollywood knew, and everyone in this courtroom now knows exactly what Ms. Heard intended those words to mean," said Chew. "The ship, the Titanic is Mr. Depp. And Ms. Heard was the iceberg that sank him."
Chew continued on to say that this trial was not about money for Depp or hurting Heard, but rather about Depp's reputation. He faced the jury with a direct request.
"We implore you to give him his name, his reputation and his career back," said Chew.
