In a video tweeted by the White House, Biden said in her 70 years, the Queen has inspired the public with her "selfless devotion and service to the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth."
He said under her reign, the "relationship between the United Kingdom and United States has grown stronger and closer than ever."
Four days of celebrations kicked off Thursday in London with a display of British military traditions stretching from the days of horse and cannon to the jet age.
