0:30Now PlayingUkrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has offered to share energy with Europe which is in the midst of an energy crisis since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Speaking online to a group of French entrepreneurs, Monday, Zelenskyy said Ukraine had 15 nuclear power units as well as deposits of natural resources.
"Despite the war, we can connect to European networks. We are ready to provide Europe with cheap electricity, much more affordable than today's market price," he said.
Zaporizhzhia, Europe's largest nuclear power plant and based in Ukraine, has been controlled by Russian forces since early March.
Ukrainian staff continues to operate it and in recent weeks the two sides have traded blame for shelling near the plant.
Zelenskyy told the Mouvement des Entreprises de France that Russia's actions in the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant puts all of humanity at risk and necessitates finding a way to deal with the country.
