as posted by the channelRussian President Vladimir Putin met with his Algerian counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the Kremlin on Thursday during Tebboune’s three-day official visit to Russia.
Putin praised the cooperation between the two countries in various spheres. He thanked the Algerian President for “the readiness to provide some mediation services” in the Ukrainian military operation.
“I outlined to my Algerian colleague the Russian vision of the initial cause of the conflict and assessment of the current situation,” Putin said.
Putin said that he also discussed military aspects between Russia and Algeria with Tebboune.
After talks the two leaders signed a declaration on deeper strategic partnership.
Tebboune thanked Putin for his "generous heart" in allowing the possibility of mediating the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Tebboune is expected to take part in the plenary session on the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday.
