0:19Now PlayingThree people were killed in a Russian air attack that struck Ukraine's southern Zaporizhzhia region on Wednesday, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy said a rescue operation was underway and that victims would be provided with assistance.
Footage posted on the President's Telegram channel showed smoke rising near a church, as well as buildings ablaze.
Anatoly Kurtev, the secretary of the region's city council, said at least two had been killed when shelling hit a residential area in Zaporizhzhia - he was citing preliminary findings of an ongoing investigation.
