0:37Now PlayingNational Security Council spokesman John Kirby says the US is watching the meeting between Russia and North Korea "very closely" and warns the DPRK will face "repercussions" for helping Vladimir Putin.
"We continue to urge North Korea to meet its public commitments, not to support Russia's war on Ukraine. No nation on the planet, nobody should be helping Mr. Putin kill innocent Ukrainians," said Kirby Wednesday at the White House.
"If they decide to move forward with some sort of arms deal, we obviously will take we'll take the measure of that and we'll and we'll and we'll deal with it appropriately.
This comes after North Korea’s Kim Jong Un vowed “full and unconditional support” for Russia’s Vladimir Putin as the two leaders isolated by the West held a summit that the U.S. warned could lead to a deal to supply ammunition for Moscow’s war in Ukraine.
