French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte welcomed King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla at a welcoming ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
His trip was postponed in March amid widespread demonstrations against President Emmanuel Macron’s pension changes. The French presidency says the visit shows “the deep historical ties that unite our two countries." A state dinner in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles will be one of the highlights.
