as posted by the channelIsraeli warplanes struck Gaza on Monday, October 16, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said, destroying the military headquarters of a Hamas commander whom Israel said was killed on Saturday.
Footage by the IDF shows a strike on the Gaza Strip, the group said. The IDF said that “a number of Hamas terrorists” in the military headquarters of Hamas commander Al Qadi were killed by Israeli warplanes. On Saturday, the IDF said that Ali Qadi was killed in an airstrike.
Qadi was arrested in Israel in 2005 over the kidnapping and murder of an Israeli businessman, and was released in 2011 as part of the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange, according to The Times of Israel.
The IDF also said on Sunday, October 15, that they had killed Billal Al Kedra, a Hamas commander responsible for the Nirim kibbutz attack. The Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Monday that 2,778 people had died following recent Israeli attacks, and a further 9,900 people had been injured.
