as posted by the channelFrench President Emmanuel Macron arrived at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv on Tuesday morning ahead of talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Macron is visiting Israel to show France’s solidarity with the country and further work on the release of hostages who are being held in Gaza by Hamas, according to the French presidency.
Later Tuesday, Macron will meet with President Isaac Herzog, opposition leader Yair Lapid and members of the Knesset.
The president will also meet with Israeli-French nationals lost loved ones in the militants' October 7 attack which ignited the latest deadly war.
Macron may also seize the occasion to have talks with some Arab partners in the region, the French presidency said, without providing further details.
